Description: Mandala Painting is an ancient reflective practice and has been likened to the visual equivalent of music. The word Mandala means sacred circle and is derived from the word ‘mandra’ which means container of essence. It is a cosmic diagram in the form of sacred geometry reminding us of our relationship to the infinite. It serves as a tool for spiritual journey as well as enhancing focus and creativity, relaxing the mind and body, and cultivating a feeling of inner peace and well being.
Instructor: Deanna is a Jin Shin Jyutsu practitioner, published poet, children's book author, and visual artist with a degree in illustration from Art Center College of Design. For her, the visual, literary and healing arts are all listening processes that link the mystery of the inner and outer worlds.
