Gemma is a classically trained ballet dancer who spent years performing on stages throughout Europe before founding her own dance studio in the Netherlands. After moving to the United States, she taught at The Peabody Institute in Baltimore for twelve years. She currently teaches adult ballet classes.
In 1996 she completed her massage training at The Baltimore School of Massage. Through years of studying various massage modalities, her technique integrates elements of cranial-sacral, zero balancing, Japanese hot stone massage, Swedish and deep muscle tissue and foot reflexology. She feels a strong correlation between dance and massage; both are an intense art form benefiting the body and mind.
Gemma likes to travel internationally and discover different life styles and customs. One of her most memorable trips was to Egypt and spending a night in a Bedouin camp. She loves to spend time with her daughters and granddaughters.
